If you are interested 
in attending in-person training at the St. John’s Ambulance Kitchener location please follow the below steps:

- Call (519) 579-6285
- Identify yourself as an SHSM student from the Waterloo Catholic DSB
- Select either a) 2-day in person OR b) blended learning (pre-work online, 1 day in class)
- Select dates (they will let you know over the phone) that fit with your schedule
- Attend the dates you have been registered for

To ensure that SHSM is able to cover the cost of the course, you must follow the above steps. Our friends at SJA will send the SHSM EL Officer an email to “approve” you to take the course after you select the course dates you would like to be registered for.
If you are interested in taking Standard First Aid + CPR-C at another training location, please email SHSM@wcdsb.ca for reimbursement approval.
Already have your certificate? Click here or scan the QR code below to request reimbursement for a ministry approved SFA + CPR-C training course you have already taken. NOTE: SFA + CPR-C certifications are valid for 3 years and are required to be valid at your date of graduation.
Grade 11 and 12 SHSM students that take the initiative to complete First Aid + CPR-C training outside of school hours will be entered into a monthly (weekly in July/August) draw for a $25 gift card!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please cancel your registration with the training provider at least 5 business days before the course starts. Failure to do so or not attending without prior cancellation means SHSM will not cover rescheduling costs.
Please select a course date that you will be able to attend, or you will be responsible for covering the cost.
If you cannot attend due to a valid Covid-19 concern, please inform us immediately.
